Gisella Sardo Infirri

Gisella Sardo Infirri is a first-year Ph.D. student in Clinical and Translational Science at Pisa University. Her studies and research activity are focused on adenocarcinoma lung cancer, the leading cause of cancer death. Notably, research on lung adenocarcinoma is very extensive; her research is specifically focused on tumour angiogenesis and on the factors involved in this mechanism. She is interested in discovering a new tumour angiogenic target to develop a new and more effective therapeutic strategy. She has been interested in the study of cancer since her early years at University. She initially focused on the study of tumour microenvironment and subsequently on the development of 3D tumour models.
