Carolina Filipponi

Carolina Filipponi is a first-year PhD student in Clinical and Translational Sciences at the University of Pisa. Her research activity is carried out at the Retrovirus Center, where she has deepened her knowledge of viral infections and the viral life cycle. She is currently working on the role that neurotropic viral infection may have in neurodegeneration, particularly Alzheimer Disease. Moreover, she is working on the development of base editor systems and their delivery strategies using viral vectors.
