Elisa Minaldi

Elisa Minaldi is a PhD candidate in Clinical and Translational Sciences at University of Pisa. Her research project focuses on thyroid oncology, particularly on advanced radioiodine-refractory thyroid cancer treated with targeted therapy. The fast scientific progress has allowed to improve the survival of patients with aggressive thyroid cancer, by providing novel therapies, more effective and tolerable than traditional chemotherapy. Elisa’s project aims to give a contribute to this research issue, which may have implications in clinical practice as well.

At the moment, she also works as a physician at the Endocrine Department of the University Hospital of Pisa.
