Since the beginning of the Postgraduate School of Psychiatry, my scientific activity has mainly focused on examining patients with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, eating disorders and neurodevelopmental disorders. My doctoral project “Emotional dysregulation, deficits in executive functions and psychiatric comorbidity in severe obese patients candidates for bariatric surgery”, through the recruitment and follow-up of a group of severely obese patients candidates for surgery, attempts to understand whether psychiatric comorbidities and deficits in executive functions may influence the outcome after bariatric surgery, both in terms of weight reduction and from a psychiatric point of view.
