Saverio Caporalini

Saverio Caporalini is a PON Ph.D. student in Clinical and Translational Sciences at University of Pisa. His research project is focused on the development of antimicrobial bio-coatings for medical devices connected to the green economy through medical nanobiotechnology and studies of biomedicine elements. The aim is to validate a prototype with antimicrobial activity without inducing any form of resistance through a low environmental impact technique starting from biocompatible polymers to increase performance of medical devices, reduce medical waste, improve quality life of patients and decrease hospital and healthcare costs.
