Short Bio
Taiusha Fuentes is a Radiation Oncologist and Ph.D. student in Clinical and Translation Science Program at Pisa University.
Her research focuses on the study of the new radiotherapy technique FLASH- RT and assess the dependence of the FLASH effect from adjacent fields, volume and fractionationated doses. These findings will be useful in order to develop a new linear accelerator able to deliver ultra –high dose rate (UHDR) electrons with very high energy (VHEE). She is currently analyzing the radiobiological effects of UHDR compared to CONV- RT in healthy and cancer cultures by varying fractionation, volumes and fields.
