Diego Peroni

Diego Peroni is Full Professor of Pediatrics at the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine, University of Pisa, Italy. He is the Director of the Residency School of Pediatrics and chief of the Paediatric Clinic at the University Hospital. He graduated at the University of Verona, Italy. During graduation he attended for one year the Pathology Dept. at the University of Verona; he was research fellow for 18 months at the Immunopharmacology group at the University of Southampton, UK.

Prof. Peroni is the author of more than 350 publications in International Journals with impact factor. He is also the author of several scientific communications to International and National Scientific Meetings. He is elected member of the EAACI Task Force on “Nutrition and Immunomodulation”.

His main interests and field of research are allergy, nutrition, immunology and pneumology in pediatrics. Several of his papers regard the mechanisms of allergy and the therapeutic approaches to allergic diseases.
