Short Bio

Guido Bocci, MD PhD, is currently an Associate Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Pisa and an European Certified Pharmacologist. He maintains international collaborations with various groups in Europe and North America. He obtained, as a PI, several grants from AIRC, ITT, bank foundations, pharmaceutical companies and from the Italian Ministry of Research and University. He is a member of the AACR, ASCO and SIF. Prof. Bocci is author of 4 national and 3 international patents, he has published more than 180 articles on international journals, 22 chapters on international and national books, and 1 international book as an editor. His main research activity has been focused on antineoplastic and antiangiogenic drugs (including both in vitro and in vivo experiments), and on the clinical pharmacology of antineoplastic agents. He has been deeply involved in the birth and development of metronomic chemotherapy concept in both pre-clinical and clinical trials.
