Paola Migliorini

Prof. Paola Migliorini, clinical immunologist in the University of Pisa, is a dedicated researcher in the field of autoimmune and rheumatic diseases. She is involved in the study of cell and autoantibody-mediated tissue damage and in the analysis of the specificity and mechanisms of induction of autoantibodies in systemic autoimmune disorders.

She has also expertise in the genetics of autoimmune disorders and in the identification and clinical validation of biomarkers as diagnostic and prognostic tools. Prof. Migliorini is the author of several patents in the field of detection of serum biomarkers.

Prof Migliorini, rheumatologist and clinical immunologist, is the chief of the Clinical Immunology Unit at the University of Pisa. The Unit is involved in patient care, postgraduate training, and teaching and active in basic, clinical and translational research in the field of systemic autoimmune disorders and autoinflammatory diseases.
