Short Bio

Dr. Paolo Perrini is Associate Professor of Neurological Surgery and director of Microneurosurgical Laboratory for White Matter Dissection in the Department of Neurological Surgery at University of Pisa. He did his Neurosurgical residency at the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Florence. Dr. Perrini completed a Microneurosurgical Research fellowship at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (USA) and subsequently spent one year in Manchester at Salford Royal Hospital (UK), where he completed a clinical Skull Base fellowship. He received his PhD in Vascular Pathology of Head and Neck from the University of Florence. He published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles. His field of interest include skull base surgery, surgery of gliomas, surgery of craniovertebral junction and white matter anatomy and connectivity.
