Rossella Elisei

Rossella Elisei is an Associate Professor of Endocrinology of Pisa University. She is an expert clinician involved in the management of thyroid cancer patients and responsible of the Oncology section of the Endocrine Unit (Pisa University Hospital).
Dr. Elisei received numerous international awards among which: the Light of Life Foundationm award for the best thyroid cancer researcher of 2011 (Memorial-Sloan-Kettering-Cancer-Center, New York); the 2018 ETA Aldo Pinchera prize for the high contribution to thyroid research; the 2021 BTA George Murray prize for the relevant research activity.
Dr. Elisei is author/co-author of 270 peer-reviewed publications, 50 manuscripts in proceedings of meetings and book chapters and >500 abstracts for national and international meetings. She serves as reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals and holds memberships in several professional associations.
From 2005 to the present, she has served as PI on 16 phase 2/3 clinical trials of drugs for the treatment of thyroid cancer.
